Public art commission at Chelsea Bridge Wharf, London, reflecting the area’s historic connection with the Sopwith biplane.
Images 4 and 5 - Flowfield installation, Florence Trust, London 2002. Carved polystyrene, flock, filament, steel tubes, mirrors.
Flowfield replicated a section of real sand patterns found on a beach. These were enlarged, carved in polystyrene and then suspended at shoulder height so an audience could walk through them, recreating the original path of the tide. The carved forms were coated in green flock so the mirrors on either side reflected the tops of the forms into an infinite flowfield.
