Veil Drawings

The Veil series of drawings consist of layered forms created with ruled lines in oil pencil.  The incremental lines are built up gradually in a flowing movement so each form becomes a record of its own developmental path, reflecting the visible layers of growth found in natural forms such as shells or tree rings.  The drawings are part of a wider practice of 2d and 3d works that look at the experience of three-dimensionality through aspects of depth, distance, scale and movement.
